Getting There
Quinta da Pacheca
Rua do Relógio do Sol 261, 5100-424 Lamego, Portugal

Traveling from Abroad
If you're flying in, the closest airport is in Porto (Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro). From there, you can:
-
Take public transportation
-
Make your way to Porto Campanhã (train station)
-
Take a train to Peso da Régua (~2h and €11/person)
-
5min taxi ride to Quinta da Pacheca
-
-
Take an Uber directly, which should cost about €75 and take ~1h20
-
Rent a car, if you plan to travel more before/after the wedding

We do not recommend flying to Lisbon, unless you plan to travel in the area in the days before the wedding.

Note 1: Passport control in Portuguese/EU airports in late 2025 / early 2026 has taken longer than usual (sometimes >5h). We hope it will improve, but please be aware of potential delays on arrival.

Note 2: Please check your Schengen area entry requirements and plan enough time to get a Schengen visa if needed. Depending on where you apply to get the visa, it can be tricky to find available time slots or run into other delays.

Traveling from within Portugal
Driving from Lisbon to the venue takes ~4h. The most direct route is via A1 > IP3 > A24. If anyone is struggling to find people to carpool with, let us know and we will try to connect you with others also driving from Lisbon.
Public transportation requires a 2h40 train between Lisbon Oriente and Porto Campanhã, which costs €35/person. When you get to Porto, the same path as those flying into Porto applies (see the Traveling from Abroad section).

If you're coming from another place other than Lisbon, let us know if you need help on how to get to Quinta da Pacheca.

Vila Gale Collection Douro
Price: €€
Distance: 3min drive; 20min walk (hilly)

Vila Gale is a well-known Portuguese hotel chain. This 4-star hotel is close to the venue, but will likely still require taking a taxi to/from the venue, since the road is hilly, there is no sidewalk, and it's a bit bumpy right outside of Pacheca.

Hotel Columbano
Price: €
Distance: 10min drive; 1h+ walk (hilly)

Located in the centre of the nearby town (Peso da Régua), this is an affordable option with all the essentials.
However, we do definitely recommend taking a taxi to/from Pacheca.
